Is it normal to sleep in a onesie

Recently I bought a dinosaur onesie, and I'm having lots of fun with it. Sometimes I use it as a pajama and sleep with it, being so comfy and warm. But should I or not sleep with it? This one has some intricate details that I don't want to ruin it, so I need to know if they're meant to be used as pajamas too.

      It has those little greenish scales, which I don't know if they are easily damaged.
