Is it normal to say "this is the last time i drink" and fail miserably?
Because I've said it a million times while really meaning it and I always fail and end up drinking like there's no tomorrow. This also happens with cigarettes.

I hate when people say that.
"God I was so hung over... I threw up like 3 times... I'm genuinely never drinking again."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Seriously!"
And then next week...
"Ugh I was so drunk last night. I'm never drinking again."
"Riiight..."
"No seriously!"
"You say this every fucking week. You even post it on Facebook! Just either admit you like drinking, stop making promises you can't keep, or grow the will power to stick to your word!"
And then next week...
"I think I'm dying! Too many Jägerbombs FML!"
Aside: Jägermeister and Jack Daniels are the 'cool' brands people who think they're 'alternative' consciously choose)
This is like me a video games unfortunately. And we fail miserably because they've become part of our lifestyle. Unless you seek a different one it'll just happen over and over again. Like for me, I tried breaking like all my games, then sometime later went back to playing them. But what I really need to do is just want something differently.
Is there something you want that your drinking is getting in the way of?
