Is it normal to run out of memory just as fast as you buy it?

Bought New pc 8GB memory to 16GB, then 32GB for flying simulator... is there some reason it eating my memory so quickly??

Your problem is that you insist on playing flight simulators with maximum graphical settings.

And what exactly is the point of playing a flight simulator if you can't fly down the middle of New York streets in your Cessna and look for women getting out of the shower in the apartments on either side? Why bother playing at all if you can't harass herds of Wildebeests roaming the Serengeti? What's the point if you can't buzz Yankee Stadium in your Airbus A380 during a game and make the catcher fumble the ball?

The first problem most people have is that Windows looks at the amount of RAM you have - and then loads up somewhere in the 40% range with various windows programs just in case you need it. Then the other programs load on top of that. It's quite common to see that doing nothing your computer is using 50-60% of your RAM (open Task Manager and expand it to see this).

Thus, if you buy an 8 GB machine - you likely have less than 4 GB to use doing things.

If you expand that computer to 16 GB, you likely have about 8GB to use doing other things. 32 GB gets you about 16 usable GB, etc. I'm not sure where Windows runs out of things to load.

If you know enough about Windows there are ways to stop windows from using all that space adequately (Companies with hundreds of computers limit how much Windows gets loaded on the computers to minimize their computer costs).

So you really need to look at how much memory your programs use, and whatever big program you are planning to use... and ensure you have enough usable RAM for that; or learn advanced Windows features for controlling what Windows does.
