Man, this thread makes me miss the old site & the old users. I wasn't here during the...high point, I suppose you could call it, but when I used to frequent the site, there were a lot of fantastic users that I miss.
It's ok now & there are a lot of great users, but I just don't relate to it in the same way. I just feel like it's not the same & I really don't enjoy it as much

The old days here were great tbh. It's fun to think about them. IIN was always quite small but it was a very vibrant community even 5 years ago. I really feel like all the regs in our day knew each other and (mostly) cared for each other. Sometimes there was even a little IIN drama when people got a bit too invested in it (or it just me who saw that?).
There's something about IIN that really exposes the humanity in people. The weird and the mundane of the human experience, laid bare for all the other normal weirdos to comment on. Now I'm missing it myself, haha. It was the regulars who made it special, because lots of the threads were awful.
Yeah, it really was a different site back then. I don't want to slam any of the new users; a lot of them are lovely people, but that sense of community is kinda gone. Yeah, there was drama & endless debates, and of course dog fucking pedos and and people who aren't gay even though they thoroughly enjoy the taste of truck stop penises...but yeah, the playful banter & people knowing eachother feeling is kinda missing. Anyway, who knows, you might still enjoy the site. The vibe is different, but it's not all bad.
