Well at least now by this post I'm learning about IIN history, I bet incest, pedophilia and bestiality were banned because loads of people got grossed out ( and also them being illegal in most countries ) and that management probably said, " No you can't post about them anymore! ".
Those three topics were banned I wanna say in 2016. There was a surge of trolls filling the front page with stories about getting it on or wanting to get in on with their siblings, parents, elementary school children, and their dogs. That shit made a lot of intelligent users leave this place.
No wonder why some old posts sounded gross and messed up. That seems a justifiable reason why it got banned, I am sure there are ways to bypass it somehow but I am not going to get into it or even post stuff about it because people might think I am really, really fucked up if I even dared to talk about those kind of stuff. With regards to those trolls, there are some trolls around ( Yes I am guilty of trolling and I am kinda feel bad about trolling people on this website. ), if people didn't post about those stuff there would still be some intelligent people on this website I betcha. There is some instances that I see people talk about those three banned topics but they instantly get taken down by the management. ( I am sorry if my comment is too long. )
I'm glad those posts get taken down. It like literally tells the person not to talk about those topics right before they hit post. It kind of tells me that the people that are into that shit aren't very smart. XD
We got a lot of trolls. Partly because a forum where people open up about their feelings is perfect troll bait, and partly because IIN was very lightly moderated.
If you're interested in IIN history, I remember when IIN Gold first got introduced, and before we had a mobile site, and I'm pretty sure we didn't always have the chat room either. Apart from that it looks exactly the same as it did 10 years ago from what I remember - even the Dave Eggers quote is the same.
IIN to return to this site after over 5 years?
