Is it normal to randomly smell perfume when there is no one else around?

I was minding my own business just listening to music and walking around my room when I suddenly could very strongly smell perfume. It was kind of fruity/flowery. The only problem is there is only one other person in this house and they're asleep and hate perfume anyway so it's definitely not them. It really freaked me out so I locked my door and am now sitting against a wall typing this. I can't smell it anymore but I know I did smell it, it was way too strong for me to have mistaken it.

I smell things from rotting flesh to the spray my best friend used to wear over a decade ago. I can't tell you why this happens but as long as it's not a common occurrence I doubt there's anything to worry about :)

I don't know if it's normal, or not. Sometimes I smell things that aren't there. Sometimes I smell roses, and I don't mind at all. If you smell roses when there aren't any around it's supposed to signify the presence of the Blessed Mother. I love my birth mother, but she is certainly a flawed, somewhat narcissistic person. So the idea of the Spirit of Virgin Mary being present would very comforting to me. My own birth mother on the other hand smells like Chanel No.5 which can be nice in it's own way, but I'd rather smell roses!

Don't freak out, but I had a very dear friend who was so special to me who died of brain cancer, and he told me that one of the early signs was smelling things that weren't there. My friend, however, smelled bad smells like rotting vegetables and burning rubber. He also had headaches though. I was kinda sad when John McCain died of brain cancer. An interesting note is that Ted Kennedy also died of brain cancer exactly nine years earlier to the day.

    Sorry for the weirdness.

Yes. I salute John McCain. An honorable man of service to his country, and a politician who never strayed from rational arguments for improvement to an efficient public sector.
