Is it normal to randomly say hello without mental knowledge your going to?

Its weird, for example, i could just be standing there with my friends and it'd just come out 'Hello' like in the use of tone as if i were on the phone... and i don't even know i'm going to say it? It happens randomly and everyday like... its as though if i'm not talking for too log my body automatically urges conversation but it rarely happens in the home. Is this normal?

    My sister does this exact same thing. Like it the middle of our convo. Idk if it's normal tho.

    THat same thing happens to me bcuz i'm used to talking to my dogs and i'll say 'i love you' when they're not even there..lol
