I've just had negative experiences that have made me feel negatively on certain topics.
I realize I may have a different situation from other people in those programs.
I would be miserable doing low level work such as fast food which is where society wants to place anybody with a disability, even if they have really high intelligence or other skills.
I have genius level intelligence but because of things I have trouble with people expect me to settle for a shitty life and ignore my gifts. I have seen several other people in similar situations such as people who can do complex physics but cannot even talk so society assumes they are stupid and places them in an institution where they waste their whole life when they should have worked for nasa.
Well, it's quite a shame that the world doesn't make room for people who are exceptional in non-conventional ways...people like you need to take a little extra initiative to strong arm your way into the conventional world, in order to make use of their talents...and doing that will only make you more of a force in the long run.
