Is it normal to put milk in tea?

I never see anyone else doing this, but I find it makes it taste a little less plain.

  • I was born in the UK but have lived in the states now for some 24 years. Nearly everyone in the UK adds milk to a hot cup of fresh tea and I still do to this day.

It is totally normal!! If it's black tea. Or bubble tea.

I believe this is a British thing. I've tried it out of curiosity and thought it was pretty good!

Actually I keep a cow in my kitchen just so I can squirt some milk into my morning tea.

Um...this is a common tea additive. Although I can't stand it. And if your tea is plain, steep it longer or try a new flavor. Or lemon.

Milk OR lemon. Never the two.

    Edit: Whiskey instead

Na man, whiskey is for coffee! Irish whiskey that is, I wouldn't use american, bourbon or anything like that.

I drink both on a few cubes. However, for any ailment liquor in proper tea will help.

You mean like ice tea right, not like warm tea with milk?
