I'm attracted to older men and I've never been with someone my age or younger. I'm 19 and being with someone who is 40 does not sound weird to me but my friends think it is.
I don't think it's normal at all.
I am not saying this in a judgemental way. I am attracted to much older women, so I am in a similar situation. But I also like girls my age.
I suggest talking to a psychologist about this and seeing if there is some way they can help with this. I am considering talking to a psychologist about my weird feelings, too.

Well I am pretty mentally ill, so I am already getting therapy for that. I have OCD, anxiety, and depression. How do you think mentally ill people are supposed to fix their issues? By eating oranges and doing yoga?

Psychology is ok cause you're in control but Pyschiatrists will mess with your mind and treat you like a lab rat for new medicines.
If you need help with anxiety find a good psychologist to do cbt with so that you control your fate. For depression, find a way, possibly through cbt, to change the circumstances of your life.
Drugs won't help in the long run. I'm not saying depression is chemical but its happening for a reason and its better to find the source and change it.
I know you were joking but yes diet and things like yoga help with both depression and anxiety because they change yyour brain chemistry naturally.
I dont have experience with OCD so I dont know what that is about but best of luck.
I saw shrinks (psychiatrists) for decades for depression and anxiety and all they did was fuck me up worse and drain my bank account.

its normal , my wife is 13 years younger. at the time i was 40 , a 17 year old was sniffing around telling people and her dad i was her boyfriend.Plus i was dating a 30 year old . before my wife. thing is women want security . try getting that from a boy. they dont want daddy , they want security . dont be stupid. Now im sixty , you know who is sniffing it? the women working 40 hours a week on their feet at checkout counters age 30-45. they dont see me as father to kids because i wont be around , they see me as security. some one that can care for them even after im dead. its all about the money boys , women are whores . they always were.

Depending on how emotionally mature OP is there really shouldn't be anything dangerous about two adults being together.

The reason I think this is wrong is that this is not going to be a healthy relationship. A 22 yo can be destructive too, but at least there they can relate to each other. Since they're close to the same age, they see the world in a similar light and share similar experiences growing up.
A 40 something dating a 19 yo can only mean he wants some fresh pussy. What do I think is so dangerous about these men? They're using girls for sex only. If the guy wanted someone "emotionally mature" he'd date someone in his own generation. Chasing girls that are young enough to be your daughter makes you a pervert, plain and simple.
