When people give things it mostly comes attached with feelings, and if something happens to the gift and suddenly the person feels hurt. This is also why when people ask me on birthdays and holidays, I say I don't care, but if you must give me anything money is fine. Some how giving money isn't considered a good gift, from certain people I know through the years. What is so bad about money as a gift for the person receiving it? Least with that I can save it or spend it on something along with my own saved up money to buy what I want with no added feelings that go along with gifts I didn't ask for and gifts I don't like, but feel like I must keep them so no drama happens if it is gone. But see, I am just the asshole that can do that though. I don't even keep cards, and honestly don't like buying cards for people either. There was someone I got to know, a good friend, but they wanted to buy me a whole outfit that would be goth looking, which I love that kind of style, I do enjoy wearing black. Take me to a costume party I will be attracted to the dark fallen angel, the sexy all in black witch, and the vampress wearing black and dark red. But I avoided answering. It was nice, but I don't like feeling like I owe someone. Or to sign some paper by saying yes, and it being taken by I owe them, or wind up going through some weird creepy stalking situation because of simply accepting and it meaning something more than just being nice.
But yes, I generally do have to get things myself.
you're now proven to be more like me :).. so i don't have ONE gift that survived till this day.. nothing.. then lets say my friend comes over to the house and she's like oh were's that gift and i just want to turn to a statue but i feel that she's hurt.. so i don't like that.
