Is it normal to not like showering sometimes?

5 days is nothing.

The way I see it, you mostly shower to wash your own smell off so people don't think you stink. If you aren't actually going to meet anyone that day, there's no point in showering unless you're actually dirty.

Since you say the longest you've gone is 5 days, I'm assuming most of the time you do this it's only for 1 or 2 days. Going a day or two without showering means absolutely nothing and no one is going to notice.

Surprised this post got so many No votes. Is it really that taboo not to shower when you're just going to be lazing about on the couch?

showering daily is actually unhygienic because it weakens your body's natural defenses agains germs and bacteria

people who down voted are probably brainwashed Americans. In american culture we think showering every day (even multiple times a day) is necessary. It's not, and it's not even healthy.

I usually just shower once a week, so nothing wrong with that.

Meh, I used to go for 12 - 14 days without it.

I shower on hot days but take a bath everyday, its my me time, my dream girl would be one who did not shower or bath for a week her smells ie pheromones would be mind blowing, to be able to taste her skin and holes after a week could be a massive turn on.

you don't shower but you do have a wash right?.. if not then I advise you do before you stink

showering every day is bad for your skin and does not promote hygiene, it hinders it.

Showering is overrated

Kind of gross to be honest. There's a guy at my place of work who smells like dead rats and cheese and his hair is full of grease. Someone suggested he showered and he said he showers when he wants to which is every 7 days. I actually hate people who don't care about their hygiene and find it disgusting.
