Is it normal to not like low rider vehicles?

each person has the right to like whatever they like, but I don't get low riders. I mean one big bump and that's it. dragging on the ground. what is the point?

it doesn't even look that cool anyways. its a style that limits where you can drive. and there are a lot of speed bumps. trash could get stuck under the vehicle. why would someone like extremely low vehicles?

Lowriders started in Da Hood when people couldn't afford to replace their shock absorbers. They also couldn't afford to go to funfairs. So when their cars started teetertottering like that, it felt like they were on a magical rollercoaster.
So all the gangsters wanted to go to the hood funfair.
Later, some gangsters got jealous of the other gangsters because their rollercoasters were lower and bouncier.
So they invented drive by shootings.

I can't be bothered giving my detailed opinion on this right now (I'm cleaning house) but as a car enthusiast I've learnt to appreciate most aspects of car modification, even those I don't personally like, agree with &/or would never do to my own vehicles.

I love the "stanced" look (if you're familiar) but that's about as far as I would personally go.
As far as practicality, & quite often comfort, we motorheads will often sacrifice it to a degree for the look or performance we want.
Shit, I daily drove a car for years with a clutch so heavy a lot of people couldn't push it to the floor.
    Why??? It's what we do...

Also you will find that a lot of the low riders you see are bagged (airbag suspension) which means that they can be raised at the flick of a switch & are only lowered to the extremes for parking, shows & showing off

I tend to dislike them too but I have seen a few (very few) old trucks that look pretty good. And it pains me to say that because I love trucks, big trucks, and low riders are meh, so I've arrived at a paradox of sorts. One that I must come to terms with.

I wonder the same thing when I see all the illegally lowered, obnoxiously loud, Honda Civics in my town.

Lowriders are not my cup of tea but then neither are the extremely lifted pick up trucks that never see dirt off road. It is whatever turns you on, like they used to say. If you don't understand it don't worry about it just move on. La vida loca.

Well, then it's a really good thing nobody is going to make you buy one, isn't it. That's the great thing about living in a free country.

I didn't know that was a thing, so I looked it up, and I understand even less.

Some cars do look marginally "cooler" as low riders; trucks just look silly.
