Is it normal to not be afraid of death?

I'm not at all afraid of death, I would say im more curious then anything about what will happen when I die.

why are people afraid?

FYI I'm not religious or atheist (i believe there is a possibility that a god or multiple gods exist.)

I mainly want to know peoples opinions on why and why not many people fear death?

Discussion time - but no religions arguments plzz.

It's not the death itself thats I would find unpleasant. It's the part before death that would suck. Imagine being ripped apart by a lion then bleeding out for the next 20 min. Total suckage.

I believe many are scared of death as its a great unknown, the unknown seems to be one of humanities greatest fears, others have a set of beliefs that include life after death so feel a comfort after death.

Personally I feel we have one life and when it ends it ends, I've had people ask me how can there be nothing, for all I know I could be wrong but there was nothing before we were born.

I'm not sure if I'm scared or not, there's so much in life I haven't done that for that reason I'd be sad if it ended now, I don't value my life much at its current state but I have time to change it. As for the moment it happens, my brain will be producing dmt so I'll be out of it

I'm not really afraid of death as much as I'm afraid of the methods of death.

Of course, I don't want to die either. But that's because being alive has too many perks and advantages (I'm healthy). Even if I do end up going to heaven or something, I still will have missed out on a lot of great experiences on Earth.
