Is it normal to no longer have an interest in cats?

I have nothing against people who like cats or love them, but they aren't really my thing anymore. But a part of me thinks they're meh but not having an interest in having one anymore. I just think it's what pet works best for me but cats aren't one that works for me. Disagree with me if you wish but my interest is no longer here for them.

I've never liked cats. Probably because they left me little surprises in my sand pile when I was a kid. It's a deep seated resentment.

Is it normal to no longer have an interest in cats?
