Is it normal to never be sick?

So I wasn't sick my entire high school career and a year after I'm still doing just fine. The last time I was sick was in 8th grade, and I had this super bad fever that lasted a week and then I was never sick again. I get allergies here and there like everyone else, but I haven't been sick in a really long time. I don't necessarily take good care of myself, I'm definitely the type of person to eat top ramen consistently and I don't work out anymore. Can anyone else relate?

I do, though I don’t know many that feel the same, it’s just a very good immune system due to being exposed to dirt and bacteria all the time or as child added to what you already had in your gene pool.
Very clean people, and I mean unnormaly clean people on the other hand, might get sick easier, of course it also depends on the body’sbiological construct

You are probably not around many people who carry germs/disease.. Do you live in a small town?

On the other hand I knew this girl that always had some type of viral/skin infection, her body was constantly struggling but it was always something that randomly affects people by chance or is genetic. So maybe you have good genes

Yep, I do a lot of things that others think is filthy like eating old / expired food (don't like to waste it) among other things, but that probably boosted my immunes way higher than theirs. Last time I felt a cold or anything coming on that was not internally induced, was last year, then drink a bunch of water, neti pot that shit, vitamin C, magnesium, soup, etc. and the illness never fully formed

Yeah I never knew what I was doing was considered gross. But people seem to think I’m a weirdo if I eat old food or don’t wash my hands a lot. It’s funny when they say “you’ll get sick!” Because it’s really the opposite effect.

  • Doesn't make sense, you never got sick in high school, but the last time you got sick was year 8? Not sure where you live but in Australia year 8 is high school! Year 7 to 12 is high school

    • I'm not sure if I'm saying this right in comparison to Australia, but where I'm from it goes from year 1 to year 5 for elementary school, year 6 to year 8 in middle school, and year 9 to year 12 in high school.

I can relate. I haven't been sick in over 2 years unless you count muscular overtraining, which was not to the point of affecting my immune system, so I wouldn't say it counts. I take lots of health supplements like vitamin D,C,b12,b6 as well as magnesium and circumin. Also eat clean and am active asf.

Those tend to help. Some people also just have better immune systems which is probably you.
