Is it normal to need pockets?

Ok, so I get really nervous if I don't have pockets. If I wear any pair of pants that don't have pockets, i feel naked and also unprepared to do anything. I also just store everything I can find in my pockets, usually pencils, paper, erasers, pens, my phone, and even a screwdriver. a lot of people say its not normal, but is it really?
