I too love rubbing silk together between my thumb and fingers. Only silk though. I've been doing it since I was a baby and I'm 32 now. When I was little I had a bunny blanket with silk around the edges that I'd rub. Now I have a strip of silk fabric that I cut from a silk nightie i cut into a tank top. I sleep with it every night. My fiance calls it my sleepy time scarf lol. If we go on vacation it always comes with me. It really helps calm me down and relaxes me. I'm pretty confident I'll be doing this for the rest of my life and I'm totally fine with it!
