They reveal they are strongly pro or against something I believe in? Sometimes I even lose respect for them and whether or not they believe in other things I agree wirh I feel I can never again take them seriously.
I think that the answer to your question depends most on about what you have the disagreement.
I won't cut someone off for liking pineapple on pizza, but I probably won't wanna go out for pizza with that person. However, if the issue is about deeply held moral beliefs it would most certainly be an issue. For instance, if someone thinks that dog fighting, and human trafficking are acceptable things then I would just cut that person off for being a an absolute scumbag.
Yes, definitely depends on the subject matter. Some things are just deal breakers. Period.
Over time people change. Sometimes these changes cause your relationship with them to topple. Growing apart is not uncommon in life.
Its hard for me to like the anti 2nd amendment ppl. And people who think the constitution is outdated and should be redone. They dont think it through like the good stuff in the constitution like freedom of speech, right to not incriminate yourself, right to lawyer, right to reject searches

It's normal but it's not needed. I have a very good friend who is a flat earther, anti abortion, and this dinosaurs didn't exist. He's still a rad dude.
