Is it normal to let airport employees get away with abusive behavior?

Am I the only one who doesn't fight back when they try to make me look stupid, because I'm too tired or too focused on where I need to go?

I normally don't put up with eye-rolling or being cursed at in a different language, or being spoken to like a toddler.

  • It's normal. Sometimes we have better things to do than to put up with annoying people.

  • I work at an airport and I am polite to everybody, including those who seem to be unaware that a hairdryer is and electrical item.

  • Sometimes I'm too tired to stick up for myself too, but at the same time there are moments where people should be put in their place

  • Unfortunately, it is normal not to respond to airport indignities. In the name of security we are letting all our little day-to-day freedoms go down the toilet -- and I'm just as guilty as you and all the rest.

  • Stand up for yourself and stop asking for permission.
