I tend to listen to alot of music people do not know. Yet, I have learned that some pop music can be fun and occassionally thats what I perfer to listen to. But you dont have to. I would however not diss pop music especially around those who enjoy it. Likewise they shouldnt diss your style of music. You can also share music artists you like. Alot of times people only listen to pop because they do not want to take the time to find other kinds of music. I myself love looking for obscure bands online. But others may not so If i share a song with them I found via the internet, they might fall in love with it and they would not have had done their own research. You can do people a favor like that.
