Is it normal to *have* to kill something or someone when you're really upset?

This has happened several times..

Sometimes, I'll get sooo mad, that I just have a really strong urge to kill something/someone. Its not an urge to hit something, not an urge to throw something..

Its specifically, to kill someone.. So, because there's no one /nothing to kill around me, and I don't feel like going to jail, thank you- I kill on Modern Warfare 2, because its all I have.. I've killed a watermelon once... lol......

So- Normal?

Again: Thats an *Urge* to KILL.

  • Try hunting. Seriously. Blasting a chunk of lead into a living creature and watching it writhe around and die on the ground is the most therapeutic thing I can imagine.

    The game might actually be making it worse. I'm all for games and am a gamer myself, but I don't feel like killing people. People aren't going to just reset if you kill them in real life. Real people have families. People in a game are easy to kill. That might be distorting your real world view.

    Yes, it is, and it is good you are taking it out in the game rather than real life. (And they said games made people violent, its helping him not to be!)

    I also get an extreme rage when something truly upsets me, it is rather uncontrollable, but I do my best. Games help me too.

    Sounds like you are bottling up anger.
    not good for you. Try talking about what is upsetting you.
    Then go for a run or a walk.
