Long ago when I lived down under, the people that thought it wasn't paradise, like you had never lived outside the country. Everyone bitched about politicians because there was nothing wrong with anything else. You are far more privileged than you will ever know.
You're right, I have never lived anywhere else, but acknowledging that my country isn't a paradise is hardly bitching and nor is wanting it to be more fair than it is.
You have no idea whether I personally am privileged in the context of the country I live in and I can assure I am not, and nor are many other people.
I'd be interested to know when you lived here, for how long and why you left? Just curious ....
IIN to have to ask which massacre?

We all know that Australia is paradise. Bragging about it makes us all feel like scum.

Ha Ha, it's not paradise, but we do have sensible gun laws and saying so doesn't mean any other country's people are scum

Long ago, I lived in Canberra for two years. I left because my work visa had expired.

I hope you saw more interesting parts of Australia than that incredibly boring city! What's "long ago"?
