Is it normal to have no sleeping pattern

I can stay up for days then sleep for a day, or stay up all night and sleep during the day, or sleep at dinner time and get up in the evening. If I ever have a 'normal' sleep it doesn't last more than a day. I prefer to sleep during the day but I don't have any form of regular sleeping pattern. I know this is unhealthy but I can't sleep at all unless I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open.

  • Been there done that. I ended up with excruciating heart and stomach pain due to spasmophilia. It was a sacrifice I had to do. I would not do it again. I am careful with my sleeping patern whenever I can. Take care.

I get you. Sometimes it doesn't work, you can drink and do drugs and get so wired you wind up posting on this stupid site. I can't really help. Im on a week with 1-3 non consecutive hours of sleep a night and it sucks. If you find an answer I wish youd tell me

If you wake up too early in the morning just dont get up from bed until a healthy hour, if you feel tired too early in the afternoon drink coffee or anything containing jenseng, and if you decide to sleep early in the afternoon anyway just set an alarm for aroun 30 minutes. Try this for a month or two and hopefully your bodys internal clock will do the rest for you

    • I tried all sorts for years but I just can't sleep properly at night regardless of what I try. 99% of my sleep is during the day. These days I just sleep whenever my body lets me because lack of sleep is dangerous.

I shall not give you any advice on this since my sleeping pattern is nonexistent!

The answer is antipsychotics. They knock you the fuck out. Seroquel is best for this.

    • I've been on that before but the restless legs and noia made it worse.

I only like Cymbalta and Klonopin.
