Nope, not normal... but guess what? my first kiss was at age 29 (dude was drunk as fuck), and my first relationship EVER (different guy, of course) started when I was already 33, and 4 years later we are still happy together. So, yeah, do work on your self, have fun, take chances (carefully), and you'll be fine :)
