Is it normal to have memories of my dead cat?

I had this cat which was given to me by a neighbor who is now dead, the cat that I owned was a cat named Shane and was 94 years old and died of old aging.

Is it normal that I still remember fond memories of him?

Sometimes I laugh because of the great memories that I had with him.

The reasons being because I used to feed him,pet him, play with him. Despite him being a very old cat.
