Is it normal to have had a life changing dream?

I had a dream about a year ago that totally changed my perspective on some things, it was beautiful, loving, and surreal, it was a narrated story and told in lyric poetry. When I woke up I was crying and felt so much love all around me. Have you ever experienced something like this?

    I had one about 8 years ago that I'm actually still interpreting and I'll never forget it. It was more profound and mysterious than it was loving though.
