Is it normal to have diarrhoea and constipation at the same time?

I'd been moderately constipated for weeks, but this time it was like I'd imagine giving birth through my anus would be 😣. It's hard to believe that such a huge dollop of muddy, gloopy, lumpy slop had just been hanging out in my gut.

Tell you what though, I now feel as light as a feather.

    What you're describing sounds like IBS a.k.a. Irritable Bowel syndrome, or what is known by the more archaic term known as a spastic colon. I think you ought to get more fiber in your diet before things get worse. Perhaps you ought to go out, and buy yourself some Metamucil, huh?

    I think you should tell your doctor about these unpleasant symptoms you're experiencing.
