Is it normal to have a friend refuse to talk to you over a show?

My friend won’t talk to me at all until I watch the show we both watch. He’s just ignoring me and forcing me into watching it if I want to talk to him again.

    Sounds like he's really into the show and doesn't want to get distracted. Don't take it personally though. Think about it in a opposite perspective. Would you want your friend to talk to you during your show?

      I think you misunderstood the question. It’s not that he wants to get distracted or is ignoring me because I talk to him during the show, but he’s all caught up and wants to share things about it and keeps pressuring me to watch it, ignoring me when I’m not caught up.
