Is it normal to hate something just because your jealous?

Alright, so I can love a book or comic a lot, but then get jealous and start hating it. For example, I really liked this webcomic at one point, then something in the back of my mind said, "You'll never be able to write this well." without even meaning to I started to make lists about how stupid the comic was. Now I can't even look at fan art of it without getting really angry. I've been writing my whole life and I get jealous pretty easily, but usually not like this. Does anyone else do that?

Is It Normal?

  • Nobody gets good at what they do by doing nothing. If you want to write comics it's easy as paper and pen, and you will probably make some shitty ones before you get good. Every successful person has failed.

  • It is normal, I am the same! I used to watch Pewdiepie when I was thirteen when he started doing his English videos and I loved him. Then when he became exceedingly popular I started to hate him! If all my friends love something like Frozen, I hate It. If my family likes a tv show (Game of Thrones) I hate it! It's normal I think.

  • It is kinda normal because you can find a legitimate reason for it but I think it's something you should work on. You're wasting your time and energy on hating instead of getting the best out of it and improving yourself.

  • Seems like a total waste off all that energy and emotion to hate some paper and ink. Get a life.
