Try flooding so much, you are housebound for 4 days. Try having pain so excruciating, it makes you vomit and unable to do anything except curl up in a heap- not even able to sleep because of it. And try having a two week run up to it like described above!
I am not making excuses for those who use it as an excuse to be obnoxious. But when one is so run down by it for such a prolonged time (sleep deprivation and pain) and experiences sackings from work because of it, then I defy anyone to have the physical or mental strength to be "nice!"
Being a woman, I completely sympathize with you about how bad your menstrual cramps are, but if it's interfering with your life (i.e. causing you to lose a job, etc), why don't you talk to your doctor about what options you have to improve your symptoms?
I realize there's the possibility that you already have, but I have no way of knowing for sure. If you haven't spoken to a doctor and are still experiencing these problems, you should look into birth control. I used to have excruciating pain during my period but once I started taking the pill the pain was reduced to minor cramps on the first day of my period. Of course, it may not work for everyone, but if you haven't tried it, you should think about it (unless of course it goes against any sort of religious beliefs, morals, etc, that you may have, in which case I hope you can find something that will help, such as a herbal remedy or something!)
To the guy who asked the question - I agree! I can understand why some women would be a little bit crabby during their time of the month, but some people take it too far and use it as an excuse to treat others with blatant disrespect. However, there is a condition called PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder)that can cause severe mood swings in women during PMS, as well as many symptoms similar to depression, so try and be sensitive when dealing with cranky women, because they may actually be suffering from a real problem that is out of their control. Just a thought!
I use acupuncture and massage for my gf. There are a few meridians in the hips and in the tail bone that are great at relieving menstrual cramps and fatigue. Also ones in the ears for stress associated with PMDD. Combined with midol and a nice big tasty dab, usually works wonders for the bitchiness associated with being on the rag.
IIN to hate it when girls use their periods as excuse to be assholes?

Amen.
The gfs I've had never felt like puking and what not during their period. Some even wanted sex right then.

Sex can relieve cramps- or make them worse. Depends on the girl.

Agreed! I hope OP doesn't get a girlfriend, assuming that OP is a man. Who knows, maybe it's a girl who just doesn't get PMS.
I've been way sicker than that and I'm not an angry moody little pissant because of it.
