Islam started from Adam and Eve and BEFORE them. Islam didn't begin in 610 AD. It was put in a BOOK, the Qurán as Muslims call it in 610 AD. Islam is not a religion where it appears. It is a system, a way of life and laws which governs the universe and nature itself.
Deuteronomy 18:18 "I will raise for them a Prophet like you (Moses) from among their brethren and will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them, all that I command him."
Jesus was never like Moses. Mose was born natural birth. Jesus wasn't. Moses married, Jesus didn't and on and on it goes. Now compare Muhammad to Moses and they are same.
And who wants to listen and learn from a foul moth like you. That is a sign of your character trait. You make everyone in west look like dumb-ass to not even communicate intellectually and rationally. Hold your tongue and stop making us look stupid. We have done enough of that with the wars and invading their countries and calling it freedom and democracy.

Islam is based on the God of the Bible just like Christianity and Judaism. So, even though no one was calling it Islam at that time, If you want to argue that Islam started with Adam and Eve, you can (and this is what Islam teaches). It is like saying Christianity started with Adam, not with Christ, and that Judaism started with Adam not with Abraham, which I would not agree with. But religion is all about belief, so if you choose to believe any or all of that, you are welcome to.
But it is still a fair statement to say, as thegypsysailor did that Islam "as it is today" started with Mohammed. Muslims believe that the Quran is the direct word of God as given to Mohammed. As modern Islam is based in large part on this information, Mohammed was an important final piece in forming Islam "as it is today".
