IIN to hate Hershey's chocolate? (IIN to prefer Lindt, Dove or Others)

    I'm from the UK, so I grew up with Cadbury's.

    But Lindt is good too, and Milka (made my Mondelēz). Belgian chocolates are always lovely - I love Guylian's chocolate and praline shells... mmm. And Ferrero Rocher is amazing (but horrendously expensive).

    I'll eat proper dark chocolate occasionally 70+% cocoa, which is nice. Like a different snack altogether.

    I did try Hershey's a while back - I didn't like it. Tasted like it was made out of 90% sugar or something, with very little cocoa content. I get the impression a lot of American chocolate is like that?

      Your impression is correct. I'm even willing to bet that the Lindt you eat in the UK is way better than the Lindt we have here.

          I'm sure there's some great chocolate in the US - I've just had a very limited experience.

          I don't think anybody would claim Hershey's is the pinnacle of American chocolate, even if it is one of the most popular brands there.
