  • You hate the popular image of God, but in my opinion the true image of God is something entirely different. And not the "angry man in the clouds" but something truly omnipresent, benevolent, incomprehensible, and ineffable.

    • Sorry for being too late to respond, but unfortunately the popular image of god is strongly supported by scripts if they are taken a bit literally. Any alternative image is not more blasphemous than denying him.

Another note which is related to The attributes of God, I don't think God is ineffable. Thinking that God has attributed you mentioned like omnipresence and omni-benevolence are sufficient counterexamples that make him otherwise.

In theistic traditions, the Aristotle model of god (as a prime mover) is not qualified to be a god who is irrefutable proven. The prime mover cannot be omni-benevolent, or even morally perfect as religious people pretend. So yes, the sky daddy who are watching me masturbating does exist.

However, the social influence of religion is bit annoying for me. As I said, religions have so excessive authoritarian moral codes whom I am extremely hostile against. Unless religions were being excluded from the political atmosphere or legalization, I would be hanged for at least being apostate.

    • As such a being of emeasurable power it is unreasonable to assume a physical form. That is why in the vaguest of terms I deem the laws of nature to be God. Even the vast expanse of the universe is constrained by rules, what set those rules into motion is unknown therefore it's best presumed God exists, because infinity and a its just like that because it has always existed isnt a valid argument for exsistance.
