IIN to hate Gay people???

I find your post interesting for two reasons: I am a Christian and a homophobe. It would seem that the two would go hand in hand. But in today's world not all of my fellow Christians are homophobic. They would certainly not condone homosexuality, yet they would approach it with a forgiving heart. I am begining to do so myself. And you had a traumatic experience as a younger person that has conditioned you all the more to hate gays. But I can tell you that my once rabid homophobia has begun to mellow with age. I am even able to make really stupid comments about people I suspect as being gay (as a certain commenter to this post can readily attest to), that are said in jest. I could not do this is the past. But this change of attitude of mine took a number of years. I am a lot older than you. The bitterness you feel now will fade as the years go by. You seem like an intelligent young man. That God given intelligence will help you get through this and many more dilemmas you will have to face. The answer here is to not only to keep your faith, but to embrace your faith even more.
