I hate them, it has broken my hate scale, I hate them solely because they keep coming into my garden and it gets to a point where I chase them out with a knife. I think about murdering those foxes and slitting those bastards up.
Is this normal?
What is annoying you? Is it the screeching they make? Are they shitting everywhere? Do they rummage through your bins and make a mess?
If they are doing these things then maybe invest in one of those high frequency alarm things.
If they are just annoying you by being there then maybe calm down a bit. Foxes aren't worth all this rage.
Foxes are awesome, they have the intensity/playfulness of a dog & the curiosity/sassiness of a cat. THEY'RE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
the pet ones you see on the internet are bred for docile temperament and are socialized to people from birth
wild foxes might be friendly but could just as easily be vicious
I had a wild fox as a pet once when I lived in the Mountains, it took a few months of tossing it scraps until it let me pet it but after I did it was lovey.
If they're a consistent and harmful nuisance to you it's normal to be annoyed with them. It's not something I can relate to though; I love foxes.
Unless they're actually causing you some kind of tangible harm I recommend you just chill out
But they're cute and just want food :(
Build a little greenhouse to keep them out?
Why not feed them and pet them and play with them and watch them grow a family
Because they are vicious and disease ridden, at least the ones where I live are.
It is possible that my area has a particularly unfortunate selection of manky visibly diseased foxes but to approach one of the ones around here would be Darwinism eliminating you. You will not find a London fox in a pretty Beatrix Potter book.
I actually like the other wild life, I leave seeds out for the birds and name the larger ones, raise tadpoles in the pond I restored and insist that part of the garden is left to nature so insects and birds can live in it.
