Is it normal to grow out your hair for the winter so you don't have to buy a hat

So I grow out my hair for the winter since I save money on haircuts and because I don't want to buy a hat. I live in Ontario Canada so it can get quite cold but not enough to convince me to buy a warm hat.

P.S. I do cut my hair once summer comes along to keep cool, I know this is normal.

It's normal to grow your hair out for winter, but not so that you don't have to buy a hat 3
Buy a cheap hat. You're not a wild animal who needs to grow their own winter coat. 2
I think the real reason you don't cut your hair is because you're too lazy to go to the barber 2
Yes it's perfectly normal and sounds like a zainy way to save money on haircuts and clothing 4

Are u seriously so cheap and penny pinching to buy a hat? U can probably even get them for free or super cheap at goodwill or someplace similar.

I've done this too. My ears stay nice and toasty.

Remember, humans are animals. Like almost every other mammal, it's natural to grow our hair out during the winter to stay warm, and shave or shed more in the summer.

Have you ever notice around Fall, you'll see a lot of guys trying to grow their beard out? Or have you ever noticed that when you wash your hair, you'll notice that you shed more during the summer than in winter (well, for those who don't shave their heads)?
