Is it normal to get sick of people and then miss each other

Often nowadays I get very sick of people because we start to argue a lot, we drift apart or they start acting in ways I find to not be polite and respecful so we talk about it and we decide we both think we probably shouldnt be in each others lives anymore. I feel very upset and I hate them because of things they've said or done but after a few weeks or months I miss them. Sometimes some people get in touch again sometime and I am very happy about it, or even I get in touch and we start talking again. I guess if i've been close with someone it's quite rare nowadays that I stay hating them, I kind of come to the conclusion where I realize nobody is perfect and that I made mistakes too so I forgive them. I think at this point I would welcome most people from my past if they reached out again. I would be friendly and talk to them but some of them I would probably keep a certain distance to and not get too involved with as very few people change drastically once you're an adult, but I believe people are always able to try. I've experienced a few times that people have acted out or pushed me away while in a depression or having other issues and at the time I hated them for it but at the same time I know how it affects you so I am understanding, to a degree, as long as it's someone I know pretty well because I know they have a good heart and i've been able to count on them. I think some people would consider it funny how I can miss or even contact someone I was on bad terms with but not really though. I usually know which people I can trust and I don't see why I should have negative feelings towards them especially if they have none towards me.
