Is it normal to get relly angry at your wife and kids when drunk?

Sometimes my brain goes straight into 'hulk mode' from just a few shots of whiskey, instead of that two or three hour window of happiness from drinking continuously. That's when things get ugly. They're usually asleep when I get to that point but when it happens at dinner time things don't go so well.

        Then you are an alcoholic.

No offense, but If you are beating your wife, and kids then I hope they call 911.

        You probably shouldn't drink.

Of course you can if you want to. Not easy, but I think it's more of a matter of won't than can't.

I agree 100%! He probably prefers the alcohol to his wife, and kids.

Alcohol shouldn't be more important to you than your wife, and kids! Your behavior is very selfish.

  • You control over how much you drink. If you know you’re angry when drunk - don’t drink, be a man; it’s not a hard thing to do.

  • I'm more calm when I drink. I don't even get angry when I drink. You can punch me in the face and I would just laugh. I am told that I get a little to chatty though. My brother is a violent drunk, he can't drink. A lot shouldn't drink, they cant handle it.

I'm pretty chill, when intoxicated, and I don't like to get shitfaced. I just like to relax, and enjoy my spiced rum.

You've got to keep them on their toes dude. Go in and give 'em a good beating every now and again when they're asleep. It's good for survival instincts and shit + it's just good parenting.

I prefer on the rocks, but with special frozen rock cubes, and not with ice cubes. Those water down the taste.

I really enjoy straight as well.

My room mate who is typically a downer tends to be happy when drunk. She is not like some raging drunkard but when she does kick back a few too many, it is sunshine and rainbows.

You need to figure out the root of yourdrinkng problems,(is it addiction or a coping mechanism) and seek some professional help because when you get mad at your wife or kids that becomes a bigger problem. Your drinking isn't just affecting you its effecting others around you

Of course it's normal to get angry. It's also normal to get "really" angry when drunk because that's what alcohol does. Physical abuse, I don't feel is right, though the poster never made mention that they physically abuse their family, so who knows. I agree though, that people are fully capable of change, it's whether or not they sincerely want to.

My boyfriend can be an angry drunk. One time the door was frozen and I was asleep due to working the next morn, well he woke me up to help him, oncebi was unable due to well it was middle of night and it was frozen shut, logic says wait till morn whe b it's warner anyways, he called me worthless and a cunt. That was the 4th time he's called me a cunt and the 1stvtime worthless. We don't even share the bed anymore, and when he asks why that's whstvi tell him. He says I need to move on cause he was drunk but the way I see it is how can I possibly move onif he's not willing to stop what's pushing us apart. Nor why should I from him saying somethinglike thatto me. He usually walks away annoyed at that point

That's terrible. A true lover should build you up, not knock you down. I know you may have emotional attachment to him by now and as hard as it is to do so, you should either confront him about it (give him an ultimatum "its me or the booze" or arrange a convention) OR you should break up with him. In your heart you know this is toxic behavior. He would stop if he truly loved you.

Surely there must be some other way. It sounds kinda like you using him which can't be good Karma. What if he breaks up with you? Abusive people don't take kindly if they think they're being used. I think it would serve you well to find a better roommate. What if he gets drunk, and hits you? If ever does that you need to call the cops, and leave regardless.

That's amazing! Do you know how long it will take you to save up? And will you travel around in it or stay in one place for work?

We did it together just before we got married. We always planned for it to be temporary and the money from selling it paid for our flights back home to the UK and then a bit towards the wedding (huge family pressure to get married in the UK... We would have just happily eloped lol). Also we were both baby crazy by then and started procreating almost straight after the wedding. I know you can do the RV lifestyle with kids but I just wasn't feeling it. The thought of having a baby without my own washing machine and space for a proper nursery just didn't appeal to me. Fair play to the ones that do it though, I'm still jealous of their freedom.

I don't feel sorry for you at all. Actually think you deserve it! I mean you admit to only being with him for money, in other words.. If you were a real female you would be a whore. I guess you are just a drama queen, scamming fag... No offence.

Dream home I can actually get, if I had the money I would adore owning a small island and a sea plane. But since that's highly unlikely a rv that can take me anywhere so I'm not tied down in one spot is the preference a d btw my set up won't be for parks. I'm sure I'll stay in a few at times but I have no interest in them, once i get my training in I'll live along the water somewere. And I have openly admitted I want to whore on here. Besides I still love him he's just pushed me away cause of his drinking, his sober dickishways I can handle but not both of them. He's gone to far
