Is it normal to get a random sharp pain in your back near shoulderblade?

I get this random sharp pain in my back near my shoulderblade. It happens a few seconds...somewhat stuns me, then it goes away. I've had this happen around once a week per month. Is it normal? Or is it something I should worry about?

    Yes. That's very, very common. There's a major muscle/nerve thing going on there. So many people get that from a veriety of things.

      I went to my doc to find out and she suggested its most likely a muscle spasm, I never had one before so I'm not sure
