Iin, to find it hard to hang out with guys or have guy friends?

I'm a 23yr guy. I have only ever dated women, find women more attractive then men. However my majoriy friends consist of females. I find it hard to communicate when around guys. I find the most common conversations are cars, sports, boobs and ass. I like the last two but not the first. I find guys in a group to be really awkward around each other. The use of the term "gay" used way to often when the topic is outside their comfort zone. I don't know if its because I grew up mostly with girls, or if its something wrong with me. So is this common? Is this normal?

    It's hard for you to hang with guys because you're not a shallow imbecile like many dudes in our generation. Congratulations; you are a member of a dying species: you have intelligence, self-respect *and* respect for others. It's not common to find 23 year old guys today with those traits.

    You are me. I'm also 23, dated one girl, and I have 2 guy friends who I'm not all that close with. I feel like when I talk to women I can actually connect with them on topics that would just fall flat with men. It's more of an emotional friendship with women than with men.

      Yeah i find that as well. I have more intelectual conversations with women then with men. I almost feel like I have to dumb it down when hanging out with men unless i want the wierd look or silence.
