Is it normal to find beautiful/elegant/poetic/more feminine boys attractive?

I don't mean "feminine" as in "camp", obviously.

I just mean those really beautiful boys you see on rare occasions, that are slender, graceful and soft-spoken. Intellectual, poetic. I've met a couple of them before, and always found them exquisitely charming. Blonde, classical hair, almost feminine features. Really beautiful. Well-read, sensitive. My other female peers seem to find this a bit odd; they find muscles, sweat, strong jaws, stubble and "macho" guys attractive (even though they're only fifteen-sixteen).

Is it just me that prefers this more boyish, youthful, beautiful kind of boy?

Is It Normal?

  • I don't know what you mean by "camp" but men that are so feminine that he might as well be a woman, I'd say no too. However, the other stuff you listed like slender, intellectual, poetic (although I don't see how intellectual and poetic are particularly feminine) I'd definitely agree with. I like guys like that too. :)

  • This is the first time I have ever heard of a snotpicking 16 year old being described as "macho"

  • I love feminine guys - including ones who are so beautiful/feminine that they could pass as female. I think in my case it was because I was influenced by anime from a young age, and most anime contain at least one gorgeous, feminine guy. As a matter of fact, in East Asian countries men with feminine qualities have very widespread appeal and in Japan are referred to as "bishounen" or "biseinen". I think they are called something that translates to "flower boys" in South Korea, but I don't know the actual terminology.
