Is it normal to feel so self concious you can't leave the house

I have been told I'm curvy by some, normal to others, but when I look in the mirror all I see is a fat person, sometimes I can't even leave my house because I feel like everyone is judging me by my weight, I'm 5"6' and 135 pounds by the way

The truth about the real world...

People, as you should realize, are wrapped up in their own world. They're not that concerned about judging others. They're mostly concerned with their self.

Anyways, those numbers you gave? You're fine.

OP, you weight basically nothing. What most wouldn't give to be 135, trust me I feel so self conscious I never wear tight shirts. Though we're in the same weight category. Everyone says to love yourself, but its tough. How about this?

Find something about yourself that you like every day and complement yourself before leaving the house. I'm sure it'll give you a confidence boost.

I'm a female, 5'6 and 150 pounds. I felt this way at one time. Then I realized I am who I am and learned to love myself for just that. Embrace your curves! If you're still unhappy about yourself, try working out 30 minutes a day to just tone up :)

Not normal, but it's understandable for me. I feel anxious every time I go out, but I usually find that it's worth the effort and I feel better once I can walk around other people without feeling quite so nervous or judged. Also keep in mind that almost no stranger is actually thinking about you, we all have enough to worry about ourselves.

You probably have social anxiety and have deeper issues to deal with.. a therapist will help.

They're all judging all the time. When you enter a room they were just talking about you..

Is weightloss really the problem here? Is losing twenty pounds going to turn you into a social, go-getter? If it is then that's an easy fix: skip breakfast, light lunch, huge dinner.

But if this is just an excuse to be antisocial then you have bigger problems.
