Is it normal to feel nothing when touching yourself sexually

I've tried about 10 times but it's an accomplishment if I manage to feel anything other than (for example) what I'd feel if someone touched my arm or something. Even still, it's a very faint feeling. I know it's common for girls to have trouble at first but this is way past that. Yes, I'm sure I'm touching the right place and doing it for enough time. I've done loads of research and still come up with nothing. If someone can relate at all I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

I've never enjoyed touching myself. It's always better when someone else does it. I think it's because when someone else is touching you it's more exciting since you can't predict what they're going to do.

It always feels better when someone else is doing the touching. And even better when they are licking.

    • Thanks, I know everyone is different so I sure hope that'd work for me. Just have to find someone I guess, hah.

  • Thanks for all the comments, guys, and thankfully I don't think this problem really exists for me anymore. I'm very bad at it, but, um, things have happened. Hah. Only took a couple of years.

    You may be asexual?

Being asexual doesn't mean you don't feel anything while doing sexual activities or masturbating. Asexual do still get turned on and can orgasm. It's more so they're not sexually attracted to other people. There's so many different variations of it. Personally, I think I'm some form of asexual and I get myself off at least once a week, if not more. I just don't feel sexually attracted to other people.

Try watching porn, maybe get yourself a vibrator. I'd say figure it out before doing stuff with other people. It's crucial to know your own body before enjoying sex.

yeah i mean if you're not turned on also when you do it i literally feel barely anything.. so make sure you're simulated enough first.. i think everyone is different to some people seem to be luckier than others with that sort of thing..

Surely the arousal happens because of who you're thinking of, not just the touch alone..? I'm a man, but I can't just masturbate physically - I have to be thinking of someone to get turned on.

Same here. I need a good friend to help out. You should get one too or else you'll frustrate yourself trying
