Is it normal to feel nothing after breaking up?

I broke up with my girlfriend recently. We were dating for about 2 years. We were (madly) in love. But things went south too quickly in the last month. I don't know what I feel. I'm just going through my day doing some work and exercise and just taking it as it comes. I often feel like opening up, but I don't know about what. What can I do?

  • I felt nothing, but relief when I dumped my last ex. It's okay to not feel bad after a breakup. I wish I'd felt the way you describe every time I had a breakup.

  • Sometimes, it takes a while to hit you. Sometimes, it doesn't. Sometimes, it hits you before it even started. It's normal, everybody has a different way to cope with breakups I guess.

  • It's normal. Everyone has different feelings when a breakup happens. It's good that you can function after yours.
