You're misconstruing what I say. I don't think society should limit people's ability to live and express themselves however they feel like.
I'm just opposed to this notion that we should just change dictionary definitions in order to better suit people's feelings. Let's not throw logic completely out the window.
Before this thread gets too long, yes I understand what you mean. Gender is a word that describes the group of characteristics typically inhibited by a particular sex, and this was not at all invented by society. Not even a little. Things go poorly only when the model society has gotten used to does not fit certain unique individuals.
