Dont forget mosquitoes, fleas, rat mites, and bedbugs. Those blood suckers are awful and contribute nothing to the world.
:)
I agree on those insects you listed especially mpsquitoes. I have many insects in my 'left to rot' list but listing them all would be too long, lol. It's just that cockroaches and ants disturb me on personal level lately so they got special mention. XD
I don't generally kill spiders, and I feel bad if I have to kill a spider. I don't really care to kill spiders unless the spider in question is poisonous. If I kill a harmless spider by accident I usually feel bad about it.
Mosquitoes, flies, fleas and cockroaches (although I've never seen one of those in the UK) are all kill-on-sight for me. Bees, spiders and beetles get put outdoors in they're in the house, and ignored the rest of the time. Wasps I generally ignore, but I do put out wasp traps once they start trying to get our beehives to steal honey at the end of the summer.
They want to live and they do feel pain and fear, so yeah even though they're very simple organisms it's definitely normal to feel bad about it.
My rules are as follows:
IF bug==fly or gnat
THEN { RUN kill.exe }
IF bug_location==bathroom
THEN { RUN panic.exe
RUN kill.exe }
IF ELSE
THEN { RUN oh_my_poor_child_let_me_escort_you_gently_outdoors.exe }
Yes lol I once won a goldfish at the fairground but couldnt keep it so instead of flushing him or throwing him away I crushed his head and was depressed for about a week, still regret it to this day.
