Is it normal to feel assulted by a doctor that had to examine intimate body parts?

So I went for a consultation with a doctor earlier this day and in order to understand more about my health problem he had to examine my body, even in some intimate parts that made me feel uncomfortable because I had no idea what he was going to do( he didn't say) my mom was there but she didn't say anything, but later she sounded regretted .. did this happen to anyone else?

I guess it would help if we knew your initial complaint? Why were you there? What medical issue was the reason for your visit?

Well I have low platelets number in my blood and this condition gives you different scares and he was checking for them, I think he was also checking for breast cancer I suppose but what I didn't like was that he told me to lay down and didn't ask me or warn me at all what he was going for, and later on complimented on my looks that to me made it feel weirder, anyway I was just a little shocked because I wasn't prepared for it..

        I'm not an expert but...
As to whether or not he assaulted you is a tough call to determine.
However if you feel uncomfortable with this doctor I would suggest finding another to go to.
I hope your health problems work out for you and wish you the best.

So why don't you visit another two doctors one is a male the other is female compare them together and see if it's the same way he touched u if it is then don't worry if not then it's a sexual harassment and if possible ask the female doctor about it since she will now if something is wrong in the way he touched you

It's part of the checkup. Im sorry the experience is uncomfortable but The doctor does it thousands of times a year. We all go through that and yes, its nerve wracking:/

Scars? That doesnt sounds like a reasonable thing.

To be honest you couldve had a pervert doctor. In that case, its NOT okay.

Scars is not reasonable. If thats how it felt to you, I would get a different doctor. Preferably a girl if that would feel more comfortable for you.
