These days, you cannot assume anything about a person's gender based on his/her name. I knew a female Sam, Tyler, and Andy (granted, the Sam and Andy were nicknames for Samantha and Andrea) and a male Taylor, Dakota, and Angel. I personally don't mind that the barriers are being broken down on what defines a "male" or "female" name, but I can understand the frustration.
IIN to dislike androgynous names?
