Is it normal to date my friend's girlfriend?
My friend and his girlfriend are breaking up, she talked to me a few times and I like her but I don't know if she likes me back, if I ask her out will it mess up my friendship??

Usually a bad idea, unless the friend really doesn't care. One of my long-time friends broke up with his hot, beautiful (but dumb as a fkn rock) gf, and the rest of our friends group all went for her. I was the lucky one, for awhile, anyway, then really learned..She was hot, a good fk, but other than that..Just too damn stupid to be around. Would call Vogue magazine "Vogg", and get every common saying wrong.
We were out one night and saw an older guy with a way-younger woman. Instead of saying "Robbing the Cradle" as the saying goes, she said "That's rocking the cradle, isn't it?"... Drove me crazy. I didn't last long with her, but, did manage to nail her a bunch of times before having my fill. And my friend honestly didn't care.

Talk to the friend. Unless he comments on here, no-one in this section will provide you with a yes/no response that's helpful or accurate.
If you want general advice, think about why they broke up (who initiated), how close are you and your friend, is she worth it, and how you would feel from his position.
